Daniel Verhaalen, MBA
Advisor
Daniel was born in Milwaukee, WI and initially moved to Wimberley with his family when he was a young child. He grew up working extensively with his dad who was a painter and developed a heavy interest in business and sales at an early age. He was part of the 2009 graduating class and went on to obtain his BBA in Finance from Texas State University in 2013. Daniel spent his 20s immersed in the foster care system, ultimately adopting 4 children out of foster care. He has 5 children whose current ages are 9,10,13,19 and 21 and also became a grandfather at the ripe age of 29. Aside from raising his family, Daniel was diligently building his career in finance, starting first as a 401(k) consultant at Charles Schwab in Austin, TX and then joined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor in San Antonio, TX. During his tenure at Wells Fargo Advisors, Daniel learned the ins and outs of the business by working alongside some of the largest players in the southern region of the United States and he managed a $60M book of business. Daniel obtained his MBA with Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA in 2022.
Daniel met Scott through Cypress Creek Church shortly before Daniel decided to pursue a career in finance and they have shared an open channel of communication over the last 15 years. There was always an underlying hope that a partnership would eventually materialize. Daniel decided to join Hackett Financial Group in 2024 to work closer to his school aged kids and develop deeper roots within his hometown Wimberley community. He also has a deep conviction for his clients and feels strongly that he can provide them with the best experience at HFG. He is a strong advocate for physical health and has trained jiu jitsu under some of the most globally recognized practitioners in the last 6 years. He also spends his time traveling, camping with his dogs (Nala and Dazy), kickboxing and mountain biking.
